Cold Shut, Zinc Plated

Cold Shut Links are used to link to or repair steel chains. When using the cold shut, use a hammer to drive the open end through the cold shut eye, then peen the extended end to prevent opening.

Please Note:

Cold Shuts Should Not Be Reused After Closure Has Been Made

To seal the link, you must peen the extended end of the cold shut, which prevents the link from opening. Always use one size larger cold shut link than chain size.
