Superloop Thimble Type K15-China LG Manufacture, also called Thimbles With Plate K15.

It is design as a reinforcement for cable eye. Simply loop the cable around the outer groove and secure with a ferrule or wire rope grip.

Galvanised Superloop Thimble Type K15 allow rope and wire to be loop back on itself without creating a ‘kink’ in the line.

That is to say,it ensures that the force is applied to the splice or swage and not to the underside of the loop, where jolting and flexing (common for stays in any sort of choppy water) will cause wear on an unprotected wire.
