Stainless Steel Square Head Bow Shackle , sometimes called a Trawling Shackle, is made from Type 316 stainless steel.

With the additional element of molybdenum, the type 316 has better corrosion resistant properties than the more common type 304.

Stainless Steel Square Head Pin Bow Shackles are commonly used in the marine industry for trawling purposes during fishing expeditions.

Sometimes referred to as ‘Omega Shackles’, Bow Shackles feature a larger bow than that of a Dee shackle which offers a larger surface area for attachments to sit .
